How do I choose the right colour foundation for my very hot holiday ?
When I have taken my usual foundation. I look sickly/ghostly as the sun is soooo much brighter abroad.
I dont want to use fake tan on my face as it goes patchy.
So how do I choose a foundation colour that will not make me look like a ghost or an orange ?Pale skin what colour foundation for hot holiday?
Don't use a foundation 1 or 2 shades darker than your skin tone *unless* you're willing to apply it on your neck and decollete as well. If you're not oily skinned I would recommend you skip the foundation and use a tinted moisturiser instead. Regardless of what you use bronzer is key.
Bronzers are sooo underrated. It will warm up your complexion immediately and you can also contour and use it as a blusher. This is *the only way* I'd ever allow a client of mine to darken their skin without fake tan. You can carry the colour down a little to your neck as well, this is still alot less makeup than you'd have to apply if using the wrong colour foundation.
Remember, if you use a darker shade of foundation you will only look like: You've tried to darken your skin using a darker shade of foundation!
Best of luck and enjoy your holiday! Don't forget to either tint your eyelashes before you go or take a waterproof mascara! And lip balm!Pale skin what colour foundation for hot holiday?
If you use a liquid foundation, try to find a fairly sheer one so that as your skin changes, you're colour will show through. You can also buy the next shade up and blend them as you tan. The trick to not looking orange is to not get a foundation which is darker than your skin colour and then to not use too much.
If you have trouble blending then find a light bronzer and use that on your cheeks and then just a little on your T zone to build up colour. Remember it's easier to add more than remove it so don't use too much.
Also mineral foundations work very well at blending with your natural colour as it changes.
If you wear foundation in the heat you'll just get sweaty as it will clog your pores and you will either get spots or it'll just slide straight off. Try using a bronzer instead - get one with a pink undertone to avoid looking brassy or orange. This can be built up for night or used sparingly in the day, and won't clog or stop the Vitamin D in the sunshine getting to your face.
the secret is blending, try using a latex sponge to apply the foundation or better with your fingers...Well I use sponge, coz i achieve the proper blend on my skin...
Use a tone one shade darker than ur skin tone...Put only on the apples of ur cheeks, on d bridge of ur nose, a bit on ur chin, and on your forehead just between ur eyebrows...On this way you can avoid looking like orange coz u just highlighted ur face...
After dust finishing powder, so the foundation will stay...
That's it, To achieve a flawless and healthy look!
Dont use a liquid foundation. If you're going to wear foundation in the sun, use a matte foundation that is light and doesnt paste over your face. Personally I wouldnt wear any foundation at all, but when I do have to wear it in the summertime, I always use a matte/mousse foundation.
You could use a mineral based foundation as it just brushes over the skin, most brands have got them out but i found rimmel to be good and quite cheap, liquid ones may make your face feel clogged especially in the heat so using mineral ones might help. :)
if you are like me and never gets a tan then i would suggest a bronzer on your face but makesure if you add fake tan to anywhere else on your body then it matches your face
p.s don't go to heavy on bronzer just light and natural
hope this helpsx
if it's a hot holiday, than i would recommend that you don't use foundation in the sun-just let your skin tan naturally- a foundation can ruin the complex of your skin when on a hot holiday.
Dinair Airbrush Makeup..its seriously amazing. im super pale and its the only makeup i've used that doesn't make me look orange. if u go to google and type in Dinair you'll find their site. i hope this helps.
Just start with a shade or 2 deeper/darker.
just use a light fake tan before you go and build up as necessary. then use a shimmer lotion on top.
