i`m a beginner in makeup %26amp; i want to know how to know if the foundation colour is right for me?How to know which foundation colour is right for me?
1) test two colours which you think are the right colours for you on your jawline.
2) It is not about how well the shade matches when blended, it is how quickly it disappears into your skin. If it has disappeared after 2 strokes then its the perfect one for you.How to know which foundation colour is right for me?
You should take the foundation and blend it along your jawline to find a match. You want to avoid a line so get a shade that matches your neck. Almay has a new foundation out now that actually starts white and when you apply it it blends to your perfect shade! It takes all the guesswork out. I tried it and it works really well. The only thing you need to know when buying it is if your skin is light, medium, or dark. which is pretty simple to tell. :) Hope I helped!

it's easy!
the best way to do this is to rub the sample color you think is closest to your skin color into your skin. The color that blends in is your color. Also some stores have strips with the different shades. You can put these over your skin. The shade that matches your skin is the one.
i heard you go up a color from what yo face is but only one color so you don't look orange try physicians formula at walmart it is a mineral powder
Well smear a little on the front of your hand and if it blends in with te colour of your skin it's the right one for you. Or hold your hand up to your face and compare the colour to your skin colour. If you can't find the right one, even though you should be able to, go for one that's slightly darker as it's better than a lighter one.
But only if there isn't your right shade.
First of all, dont test on your hand. Your hands are not connected your your face. So the best place to test the shade is on your neck. You want your face to have the same shade as your face to avoid that ';line'; that makes you look like you're wearing a mask.
Now, when you're picking a foundation, some people say to hold it to the top of your hand, or underside of your arm, but that is not the case. The underside of your arm rarely tans, and the top of your hand always does. You need to hold it up to your neck, just below your face, or to your face. But, you need to make sure you don't buy a tan color for winter, or a light color for summer because PEOPLE NOTICE.
to determine what color foundation you need is to ask for tester at stores because the color on the bottle will not actually be the color once it goes on your skin. You need to ask for testers and test on your jawline. just dab and cover anything that needs to be covered see if it's the closest to your skin tone. You test your jawline because you want a color closest to your neck line. you don't want to look like you have another separate head on or look like you are wearing a mask. So test your jawline and a few on what to cover up and make sure that the foundation covers it up.
you can also test the inside of your wrist as well to figure out what color you are. have fun hope this helped you.
go to a makeup counter at the mall, such as macy's, sephora or MAC and get a make over and buy the foundation from there.
