I know you can add a drop of tinted moisturiser to make it darker, but is there anything you can add to make it lighter? I can't find the right colour for me at this time of year! xIs there a way to lighten your foundation colour?
Try getting a foundation a shade or two lighter and mix the two together. It's a little like mixing hues of paint colors. You have to experiment, but eventually, it will turn out right. If that doesn't work, buy the L'Oreal True Match foundation. They've got shade-finder cards in the make-up department, and it's pretty foolproof. Is there a way to lighten your foundation colour?
add it to your normal facial moisturizer and apply.Make it look like a sheer foundation and it wont be dark or thick on your face, Use a lighter shade powder to set make up.
You can use a non-tinted moisturizer to thin out your foundation, you can also use a pearl base for a little glimmer. An example would be, Nivea simply glowing moisturizer. If you use a sponge to apply your foundation it will be lighter and you have more control of coverage. The best thing to do would be to find a make-up consultant, like Mary Kay or in a department store, have them test a few colors againest your skin tone, you will find a perfect match. Remember, you are not obligated to buy anything, but you will save $$ in the long run by getting the right match.Even if it costs a few dollars to get a consult, think of the foundations that have gone to waste and the cost to find you didn't have the right one.
You can blend just a drop of a foundation two shades lighter then yours and that usually works. Neutrogena also makes great tinted moisturizers that benefit your skin. I use these daily and mix two colors and have great results. :)
Lemon Juice!!!
Wahoo!!!
mix it with your moisturiser
I have tried mixing a drop or two of regular facial moisturizer to lessen the color.
