I've got heaps of them and they are never the right colour.Help! I can never get the right colour foundation. Any ideas?
If you're sick of buying more, then you can always try and mix the ones you have.
Other than that, only buy ones that have testers and make sure you're in a normal lit place when you do test!Help! I can never get the right colour foundation. Any ideas?
you can buy this new foundation from revlon i think it is, where you can turn the knob to change the amount of light and dark that comes out at once, google it. :)

hi there
i get my foundation from this website, they actually
teach you how to choose a suitable foundation, read
through their face analysis =)
btw their foundation is really good, does not clog pores
and provides great coverage.. can try it out momominerals

Try Mineral Makeup.
Or buy your cosmetics at Walgreens, cause you can return them if you don't like them.
Choose a brand that has a wide variety of shades.
Test shades on your neck, as this will ensure when its on your face it matches your skintone.
Be sure, before you buy the foundation, to check how it looks in a variety of different lights (yellow lighting, natural lighting, shop lighting etc) as this can change how your foundation looks.
A good foundation will blend seemlessly and match your skin perfectly in all lights.
If you still cant get a colour that matches you, ask the shop assistant, as they will generally know what they're doing.
Good luck!
use the tester and some people match it to their wrist and some people match it to their neck, ps, with a tester you can put it on to see lol, or bring a friend and put some on your neck and rub it in and tell her to tell you when you get a good colour that matches! thats what i did to find my colour =]
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
try '
Kryolan
I also recomend the Mineral Powder Foundation, it is so much easier to match than liquid or creme to powder. It is super lightweight and gives a matte finish, and a lot easier to apply. Ours is $18 and I highly recomend it, you can purchase this product by logging on to www.marykay.com/bvelazquez --xoxo
Well first of all before buying them make sure they really are your color....match the color with the skin on your hand (at the top) if it is the same than u know thas the color u want....also at like walmart i think it is(i dont go there alot) theres a matching template that also helps you by matching your skin....also try minerals they work really good because they match up with your skin color and blend in to create the perfect color....
they look like this:

depends on the colour range avaialble. some brands dont have a great range but are good to apply so in this case i would then buy two colours, mix and make your own colour. unfortunately it is trial and error but take your time to test them all out and try and see what they look like in natural lighting.
you can go to a clinique makeup counter in belk or dillards or someplace like that and they will match your skin tone with the right color makeup for free.
omg that happened to me too but then i got this revlon one called 'custom creations' and it has two colors (light and dark) and you twist this thing to indicate your perfect color and it mixes it for you... and i have the perfect color now!!!! AND its good foundation (you cant tell im wearing it!)
horrah!!! heres a pic http://i31.tinypic.com/2f0c5z9.jpg
good luck
get a good mineral makeup kit, with a few shades of foundation, bronzer and concealer. much more natural than a lot of liquid foundations and much easier to blend to your skin tone. I gave up on run of the mill foundations years ago as it always looked obvious, since changing to mineral makeup everyone asks what have I done to make my skin look so good. Its the subtle and natural way that mineral makeup looks.
