Thanks for your help :) xMAC foundation/tinted mouistriser colour?
I always go lighter, esp in the fall/winter. You can add bronzer or blush if it's not dark enough. Going lighter is always safer than going darker in my opinion.MAC foundation/tinted mouistriser colour?

MAC NW15 foundation shade, my right colour?
I ordered mac off the internet as there is no mac counters in my country, people were telling me to get NW15 until some person who claims they're a proffesional artist said you cant tell from my photo really, so what do you all think. Was i right getting NW15?

You cant really tell from a picture as everyones computer screen has slightly different hues.
It really is better to actually test products diectly on the skin, along the jawline is best.
If you have already ordered it then I guess youre just going to have to hope for the best but it might be an idea to mail MAC direct and explain that you dont have a MAC counter in your country and ask if they could send a couple of samples. Most manufacturers are pretty accommodating.
Best of luckMAC NW15 foundation shade, my right colour?
Unfortunately the best way to tell if a colour is right is to swatch it on the jawline or at best try it all over your face first. Since you do not have a MAC nearby, it will be a bit harder.
Your pictures make it a little hard to tell but maybe answering some questions I could help you out.
Are you quite pale? If so then choosing a ';15'; shade was correct, however the NW/NC depends on what undertones your skin has. If you are more rosy/pink then NW15 was correct and it should look good. If you are more golden/olive then you should have gone for NC15.

p.s i bought infallible from shop and got golden sand but idk it doesnt go well with my skinRight foundation for my skin colour?
If you go to a Mac or Clinique store, they will give you a free makeup consultation. I have similar skin to yours and I really struggled until I went there and now I have the perfect colour. It changes in the summer of course but once they know your skin type (warm/cold/ peach/ golden, etc) they can predict a colour change. They ae a bit pricey though but it's the makeup the pros use so can't complain! Once you've got the right foundation from them, you can buy it on Ebay much cheaper when you run out.Right foundation for my skin colour?
its hard to tell you what color you need.
you really need to go to the store (and i know this seems bad) but you need to open the bottle and try a little on your skin.. its the only way you can find a perfect shade.
or you can have a professional help you find one.
i heard theres tis stuff that is foundation, and you move a dile, and it makes diff, colors...i think jesica alba was in teh comercial for it, byut i cant think of what its call///sorry :[ but i saw it at cvs/walgreens they might have it other stores too

Grrr. I Cant get a foundation to match my colour!?
any tips.?Grrr. I Cant get a foundation to match my colour!?
Try mixing two different shades together to get your shade.Grrr. I Cant get a foundation to match my colour!?
Try going to a Cosmetic Specialist.
oh i know!!
Use the smart makeup by covergirl I think.
All that you have to choose from is if your skin color is
light or medium %26amp; then apply to your face and then beads inside the makeup match your face while
covering your blemishes and any imperfections.
Good luck! ( ;
As your picture is shaded I cant see your skin tone but Dream Matte Mouse by Maybelline works wonders. The shades are simply shown so you can see what works best for you. If your slightly tanned use a sand colour.
Find a Mac store, they match your shade with you there for free and they have thousands of colours, such a reliable foundation! x
I used to think that for a long time-I'm quite fair and so many foundations look too orange on me. One useful tip is that when you test foundation on your hand (or even better your jawline) in a shop, you should go back outside to look at the colour in daylight. Quite often makeup looks a completely different colour under shop lights-I've lost count of the number of times I got home to find that the makeup I thought was the right colour actually wasn't because of that-until someone told me to go outside! lol. Hope that helps! x
Sure you can. I thought the same thing once - but then I found aularale.com/7002. It was an answered prayer.
I agree with grandmaK, you may have to do some mixing to get what you want. It's rare to find your exact shade in one bottle. I just wear loose powder now, it's so much easier
Try Prescriptives makeup. They custom blend makeup designed for you. Foundation, concealer, lip gloss and lipstick made to your liking. A Prescriptives Blender identifies your skins undertone and creates shadows %26amp; formulas that are perfect for you. It would cost you around 拢40 for a custom blend foundation. to find your nearest store click http://www.prescriptives.com/templates/door/us_finder_pop.tmpl
Covergirl works for me
Try Prescriptives cosmetics...they claim to match any skin colour with their custom blend foundation, concealer and powder.
I have that same issue. I went to Sephora and tried the bare minerals...they seem to have a shade for every skin color
CoverGirl TruBlend. Its sorta a mousse like texture. Its very easy to find your shade. All you have to do is get real close, and it looks flawless. And it doesn't look like you've caked on the makeup to hide little imperfections. It makes you look like your skin is just naturally that gorgeous.
When choosing a foundation, try looking in direct sunlight or ask a friend to help you. If unsure between two colors, choose the darker one because a lighter one will make you look pale. If you want a color that matches excatly to your skin tone, buy the two colors closest to your skin and mix them to achieve your color. You can always use the darker color to add depth to your face or the lighter one to highlight so you get a natural look. MAC always has great colors.
get 1 of those scary women at the makeup counters 2 doit 4 u in boots or sumwhere like that! they are actually pretty good at it!
Go to a department store and ask tell them you want to buy a foundation, they'll test out a few foundations on you till they find you're skin color. MAC do a wide variety as well as Clinique, YSL and Dior.
Or you can get tinted moisturizer if those brands are too costly.
Ok the best foundation to match your skin color is Covergirl Trublends!!!! Get the closest color to your skin and it will blend in to match your skin color! Works great for me!!!
go to a professional makeup place like benefit, mac, bobby brown, clinque etcc and ask them to help :) they'll do it for free as they'll be happy if you buy something :D
dont worry - there IS a shade for your skin out there somewhere!
xx
or try mixing one thats a teeny bit dark with moisturises, lightens it.
or buy an expensive one, Clarins, they will have a shade for everyone :)
You should go to a make-up counter at the mall and ask the ladies to find your shade. I know Clinique, Lacoste, and Estee Lauder do that.bacteria

Beauticians please answer what colour make-up would you suggest me to wear on my wedding day?? foundation etc?
i am getting married and i am wondering what is the best colour foundation, eye colour, blusher etc to wear so that it looks natural!! this question is mainly for a person who has done health and beauty or is a beautician!! please if your a beautician please give as much advice as you can thank-you!! i have a pale complexion, hazel eyes, and i have blonde hair!!!Beauticians please answer what colour make-up would you suggest me to wear on my wedding day?? foundation etc?
I would go for an ivory or nude foundation, a clear powder adn then darken with bronzer - as for blusher i would say a pale pale pink colour as to with your eye shadow.
If you want totally natural, go with a pale pink lip stick or gloss - remember though gloss is sticky andif yourr hair gets blown about it will stick to your lips.
Your best option is to go into Boots or a bit store and book anappointmentn for a FREE consultation - they will do your make up as if for your wedding day, you will then get a better idea of what it is you are trying to achieveBeauticians please answer what colour make-up would you suggest me to wear on my wedding day?? foundation etc?
Your foundation should match your complexion as close as possible, I would go with more of a pink or rosey blush and a pale pink lip color. If you want shadow a very ligh brown and dark brown to black mascara. Just don't over do your makeup and keep it soft. Best Wishes to you.
im not a beautician...but if ur pale..look for lighter foundations..i dont really like liquid foundations..they make me feel icky and i think the powder kind lasts better. i dont kno wat ur budget is here but i LOVE bare minerals. they r really great and wen i got mine(package deal!)
i got like beige 15 foundation and i got bronzer and everything. it works well for me..and if u have hazel eyes i suggest warm browns and dark greens for eyeshadow...goodluck!:))

I Go here, You can do Virtual makeovers and Even Wedding Looks its lots of Fun!
foundation would be a dark color since people maybe taking pictures you won't look like a ghost
eyesahdow would be white or blue
blush lite pink sweet color

Anyone who knows the maybelline foundation colours?
I'm having a really hard time finding a new foundation the RIGHT colour.
The only near perfect match i've had is with Maybelline pure makeup and my colour was 03 natural ivory.
Could anyone suggest a foundation like this colour?
I know i should try them out in the store but if anyone can help before i go ... lol thanks! 10 pointsAnyone who knows the maybelline foundation colours?
maybelline has the same colors for all foundations, so what ever u are for their pure line, u are for the rest of their foundations, if u have a problem with one of them, go one up and/or down a shade and apply on ur jaw area and go outside to see if it is a match using a compact mirror...if u want a longer lasting foundation try superstay, i really like that one because it feels really smooth and looks matte yet velvety smooth after its applied and dries...almost like u just got photoshoped skin...i use pure as well...i really like loreals line, they have cool neutral and warm undertones in their true match collection, so u might just find ur perfect match there...for more expensive brands i suggest dior, they are really good on the fair skin matching as well as clinique and stila.Anyone who knows the maybelline foundation colours?
try Vichy Aera taint fluid mat foundation in clear ivory23. it is perfect! i used to have Maybelline foundation but it was a bit dry for my skin so now i use this one.
maybelline has numbers like light 1 light 2 light 3 medium 1 medium 2 .. so on.
natural ivory is around a light 3.. but u would have to try it on when u go to the shop to purchase.
go to CLINIQUE or a mall makeup counter, they will match you up to a real foundation or powder that you need. clinique has about 20-30 colours for diff skin types
Can't you just bring in the bottle and compare?

I couldn't find the suitable colour of loreal mineral foundation, fairest colour still look dark on my skin.?
Did anyone know why loreal mineral foundation fairest colour N1 and G1 why still doesn't match my skin colour. If you ever tried these colours, you will found out loreal mineral foundation fairest colour aren't the fairest colour for other brand for foundation...as it looks dark on my skin. HAVE ANYONE TRIED REVLON MINERAL FOUNDATION? OR ANY BRAND OF MINERAL FOUNDATION AT REASONABLE PRICE AT DRUG STORE? thanks....I couldn't find the suitable colour of loreal mineral foundation, fairest colour still look dark on my skin.?
I used to wear Physicians Formula's mineral foundation. It's under $10. It worked good, but I starting using The Body Shop's foundation. It's a little more expensive, about $20, but it works great! Physicians formula is light-weight and subtle, but it still gives decent coverage. You can get it at CVS, Walgreens, or Wal Mart. (it's about $2 cheaper at Wal Mart)

Girls...Do you use foundation that's the same colour as your skin?
Do you sometimes find that a lighter/darker shade looks better than an exact match??Girls...Do you use foundation that's the same colour as your skin?
i use the exact match personally as a beauty therapist
if you cant find your exact match they say get 1 shade lighter and 1shade darker and mix together to get a suitable shade!
but then your buying 2 products so whats the point-especially if you want a nice foundation that's going to cost a little more!
if you want your face to be darker-that's when bronzer comes in to it! a much darker foundation will just look naff and look like you have a `orange` ring around your face! with bronzer you can sweep it anywhere you want colour!
just experiment and find what you think looks nice, every ones different :)Girls...Do you use foundation that's the same colour as your skin?
yes i know people say you need to mach your foundation to your skin tone but i like a shade darker then what my skin tone is. if i a light foundation i look pale
Yes,i do
No,if your complextion is fair then you can use white foundation,if your skin is black then you can use black foundation
i usually use a shade darker than my skin tone, it looks better and more natural. i guess its the way you apply it.
i use a bonzer and a blush too
i look rather good
I still don't think I'v even found a match...sad i know.
Yes, I use bareminerals and in the winter, I combine two of the different shades together to give me a bit more color.
First and foremost, if u look at your actual skin you will notice that your face isnt one solid shade. its helpful to buy 2 shades, only one shade apart, and if your t-zone is darker apply the darker shade there, and if your cheeks are lite apply lite. then blend with a translucent powder. OR
they make powder foundation that starts dark on one side, and the pallate changes to super light on the other. I reccommend this instead of buying to seperate foundations, and powder wont clog ur pores so bad.
i think its almay that made this new foundation that matches your natural skin color automatically though. you just pick the shade thats closest to your natural color, ie lite medium or dark, and the foundation just blends evenly on its own. I checked it out, and its 12-15 dollars. just depends on how much your willing to spen,d. hope this helps!
I always go a shade darker so I don't look pale. If you use a cosmetic sponge, with a light touch, to apply %26amp; smooth foundation you get better coverage and no demarcation lines.
I do not use foundation that's the same color of my skin color...I use a bit lighter color foundation than my skin!
%26amp; i always match my eye shades with my costumes!
If its day function then i use the light color! %26amp; If its night function then i use darker one!
I wear it a little darker as well
yess!! its best to try and ind the perfect match i think..
:) but it hard inding themm argh..lol
You need to have a foundation that matched your skin tone. Some people have two toned, so you may need two foundation colors. You do not need to go beneath the jaw line, your foundation color should match up perfectly there. After applying your foundation follow up with some powder to give it a nice finish. If you feel pale, then use a bronzing powder, I recommend Mary Kay Bronzing Powder. If you end up buying a foundation color that does not match your skin exactly then you will be putting on a mask and people can tell by looking at you that your face and neck are two different colors!bacteria

Help! I think my foundation changes colour..?
And now its turning orange again?!?!?Help! I think my foundation changes colour..?
Were they different mirrors?
It could have been the light.Help! I think my foundation changes colour..?
It probably is the light but make-up can change and look 'orangey' if you have an oily skin. Make sure that you choose a foundation without too much pink or tan tones, a neutral beige is best whether you are light, medium or dark skinned.
most likely it probably was the lighting or a refelction of something else with a pinkish/orage tone to it that was reflected in the mirror..
apply your foundation somewhere with really good lighting so you can see everything perfectly
hope this helps!
its definitly the light...try a lighter one!
agreeeeed. Definitely the light! Apply your foundation in natural light; more likely to be accurate!
it was the light, happens tome sometimes its well annoying, but if you thin its not the light , you could try a new lighter foundation maybey.
Hmm, it can depends. It could be the lighting, try apply it in the best natural light you can to see properly. Some foundations ';oxidise'; which means they react with the air and they do go slightly orange, but if you looked back again and it was fine then it was probably just lighting. If it seems to get more orangey throughout the day and not go back, the foundations will probably be going more orangey.

its definitly the light...try a lighter one!
Which l'oreal infallible foundation colours should a pale/fair oriental person get?
This l'oreal foundation comes in 11 colours. Has anyone with complexion similar to ziyi zhang (or just pale east asian in general) tried it? What colour was most suitable?
(Was thinking of getting as it is on sale. Vanilla 120 seemed okay, but became darker than neck after 1 hour.)Which l'oreal infallible foundation colours should a pale/fair oriental person get?
I really can't say but you should take the foundation and test it, but if you do get one that is too dark put it on your neck too so that you don't get a make-up line, and put it on your ears and make sure you rub it in.x

Foundation help colour and liquid/mousse?
im pale skinned as im naturally a red head Nude colour always makes me go orange and ivory sometimes makes me look orange is there any way i can apply the ivory colour without it going orange i also use a transparent colour powder over the top to stop me lookin shiney.
and also whats best to use the mousse foundation or liquid?? i currently use avon liquid foundation but am thinking of going to a shop and getting mousse foundation. thanks xFoundation help colour and liquid/mousse?
I sometimes have a problem with my redness on my face and i found that using the mineral foundation works really well! It covers my redness and everything. I use the one from avon. You should try it. I thought just a powder won't make me look natural, but it really does. You dont' need anything else. just the mineral powder and a face brush and you're good to go. If i were you, i'd try it. Your face doesn't look fake or anything. very natural. and i think that it would work for your situation too. just a suggestion :)Foundation help colour and liquid/mousse?
when it gets clumpy like that, i usually get the powder on the big face brush and hit it on something so the powder can get loose on the brush and just brush it all over my face. just put a lil at a time :) that's what i do Report Abuse
Go to sephora and buy the Get Even powder by Benefit. It will cover up your blemishes and I promise it will not make you look orange. You don't even need foundation if you own it!
go on powder! and just mineral one

Women of colour: do you find it hard to find a foundation that matches your skin tone accurately?
ive got this problem the foundation i currently use makes me look to pale...but my skin tone gets darker during the summer time and paler during the winter time...so sometimes it matches nd sometimes it dont.
i dont have bad skin but it gives me a good finish wen i put on other makeup....Women of colour: do you find it hard to find a foundation that matches your skin tone accurately?
yes! I have 2 different foundations- one is for the winter when i am lighter and the other is for the summer when i am darker. it's something, isn't it?Women of colour: do you find it hard to find a foundation that matches your skin tone accurately?

Why would a Black woman wear foundation anyway? Sisters have radiant beautiful skin in the first place. I can't speak for all brothers but I can't stand when Black women wear a lot of make up. Make up should compliment a woman's natural beauty, not cover it up or make her into someone she is not. A little lipstick is cool and I can live with a little eye shadow and mascara but foundation and rouge are just too much for me.
I have seen make up ruin sisters skin. You will do what you want but from a man's point of view often women wear make up for other women and not for man. I'm not saying to go around looking homely but perhaps toning it down a little couldn't hurt.
yes I have problems with foundation all the time because it's so hard trying fine foundation for me because either it's to light for me and I start to look like a black ghost or it's to dark and I look like im tryin to go black face or something... So offend times I have to mix the colors around to get close to my shade.
Im not black, but Im not white...so I thought I'd share anyway, hope thats ok!
I can NEVER find foundation that matches, its either WAY too light, too orange, or too pink. It looks like I am wearing a mask. I did find this mineral powder stuff that looks pretty natural though. I had to buy three different shades to mix in order to find the right shade to match my skin. Its really light, and since its adjustable and mixable, I can use it in the summer (when I get super dark) or in the winter (when my skin is a little bit lighter).
My husband is from India, where women range from fair, to really dark, so whenever he goes there, he nrings back some of their makeup. They have a lot more color foundations for darker complected women.
I don't like a lot of make up and unless I'm at work I don't wear much except lip gloss and eye shadow. I think it can be difficulty as times to find your exact skin color. My mother says she has a hard time, either the foundation is too light or too dark never just right.
Girl Yes! Even though i don't wear make-up, unless it is a special occasion, but the foundation is always too light, whether it liquid or powder. Maybe you try going to the Mac counter and try to have someone match your color, it worked for me.
Yeah, that's why I don't wear foundation at all. It's bad for you anyways. I only stick to lipstick and stuff for my eyes.
I dont wear make up (lipstick sometimes) but...
Try Fashion Fair at Macy's. Their products are made for women of color.
My sister uses it. She says its great.
Hell yeah.. Noone of it mathes me exactly.. either I look like a geisha or alike Im trying to be darker,
I only use lipstick that is all needed
I don't wear make-up. It makes me break out.
i don't wear makeup
but for my mom yes she says it is hard

Bare minerals foundation - I don't know what colour to get.?
I'm having trouble deciding between two colours for the foundation. It's either the fairly light foundation with neutral tones or light foundation with golden tones. I don't know what to decide? I'm on the website so i can't exactly compare both properly.
Help? :)Bare minerals foundation - I don't know what colour to get.?
I would say go with the lighter, neutral tone. In my experience, (i'm fairskinned) anything with pigmentation in it is too much pigmentation for me. I have to go super-light. Even if it ends up being too light, you can always add bronzer on top :) Do they have sample sizes you can order? Or a vender nearby where you can test-try something? good luck!Bare minerals foundation - I don't know what colour to get.?
why not try sheer cover foundation its mineral based and they have a website sheer cover .co.uk they have different shades light medium and tan its 29.99 and you can order it on line or over the phone i use it and its brilliant as it covers scars birthmarks and other flaws and it lasts ages as you only need a little try it and see you will be amazed as you get concealer two powder foundations cleanser moisturiser and mascara and all the brushes and and lip gloss and eye shadow go for it or at least try it for yourself if you dint like it you can get your money back even if you have used it

If you put foundation on your lips, is there anyway of making it look like a pale pink colour?
Thanks : )If you put foundation on your lips, is there anyway of making it look like a pale pink colour?
Yes there is!
I have to do it...i have bright red lips and a extremley pale face so it looks funny.
After you put the foundation on just use a reeeealy light pink colored lip gloss. Clear works too.If you put foundation on your lips, is there anyway of making it look like a pale pink colour?
Try put on some cherry or pink colored lipbalm.
yea put a pink lip gloss over it. the pink of the lipstick and the foundation (if you're fair skinned) should mix and become a pale pink.
use a really goopy/glossy clear or tinted pink lip gloss... something like the juicy tubes consistency...
If you put a creamy lipstick over it or try patting some cherry koolaid powder on them.

Help... also I don't want anything that clogs pores or makes acne worse. This is really hard. Also can i know the details bout it: name, price, brand and where I can get it etc. Thanks. :)What is the BEST foundation for any skin type and how do I know what colour is suitable for me?
HI Jem
I fully understand you because I have a similar problem and it recently came to my attention that Mineral Makeup is the best stuff around for all skin types, esp. our type, because it contains just pure raw materials without the harsh stuff added.
Depending on where in the world you live, u can find out if any department stores offer any brands of mineral makeup (just google it) but if u are in the UK, I would recommend www.lilylolo.com because they offer fantastic powder foundations and everything else which u can first buy in small sized samples to test whether the colour is suitable or not, before u invest in the big tub.
You cannot go wrong with mineral makeup because its like makeup and skincare rolled into one. This website also provides full guidance on how to determine the undertones of your skin, so that u have a better chance of finding the correct shade. Actually you can mix two shades of powder foundations if u want to create your own unique shade! I would definitely recommend this product to everyoneWhat is the BEST foundation for any skin type and how do I know what colour is suitable for me?
try true match
BARE MINERALS!!! YOU'LL NEVER GO BACK TO ANYOTHER MAKE UP EVER!
prescriptives is the best foundations out there. go to your local mall and to a department store to find their counter, they will MATCH your skin prefectly. i love it and i will never go to anything else. i tried everything, mac, chanel, clinque.. this stuff is the best. its not too pricey and it lasts FOREVER!
Go to Clinique's website (www.clinique.com) and get your ';Skin Report';. It will tell you which skin type you have and what types of foundation are best for you. That doesn't mean you have to buy their products, but it will give you an idea of which route to go. What works for me (I'm a Type 2) will not work for you if you're a 1, 3, or 4.
And if you actually go to a Clinique store, they will match your skin tone PERFECTLY... I have never seen such a huge selection of shades.
nivea visage young, its a tinted moisturiser, its great it doesnt matter what skin tone you are it just blends itself and you dont have to moisturise first

philosophy air brush, use your palm to match
Bare Essencuals is a mineral based make up that is good for your skin. Also it gives excellent cover, I would think ideal for acne. You can access it through the QVC web site. I would not use anything else.
i use one from superdrug, its the me me me range and its called 'mousse me smooth barley there' foundation 拢9 its an air whipped mousse that blends really easily giving even coverage. i also find that if you get a few zits you can dab this on with a cotton bud and it stays put so no need for concealer!
If you really can't decide pop into your local boots to the number 7 counter they are more than happy to help and advise, they will even let you apply before you buy with no obligation- provided you don't take the piss x in fact most make up counters will offer this service just ask- sometimes you'll get freebies too!!!
Cover Girl liquid foundation, and choose the best color for your skin tone.
if u go to sephora or any department store to buy the stuff, they should have salespeople that can help you find the best shade. but if you dont have anyone to help you, find a foundation that has a yellow undertone so that it can counteract any redness you may want to cover up. find one that is labelled non-comedogenic (won't cause blackheads), hypoallergenic (allergy- tested), and non- acnegenic (won't cause acne), and oil- free. you can't really pick a color off the internet or whatever, because it's best to actually try it on. a good foundation should look natural and blend right into your skin tone. as for the names of actual products, i can't help you there, because I don't know your preferences.
good luck!
Try Maybelline Pure Makeup its made with H2O and is shine free. This stuff is great my friend recommended it to me I love it and I promise u will too!
Covergirl True Match.. I am fair skinned, and everytime I got a foundation I would have to use it sparringly because it was slightly darker no matter what so as to avoid ';pancake face'; or dreadful ';makeup line';.. with covergirl true match that comes in cool, warm or neutral tones in every single possible shade (they even have a shade lighter than me.. thats never happened before!!) i can use as much foundation as i want and not have to worry about makeup line or looking too made up it looks soooo natural and it was sooo cheap! the coverage is great and it doesnt dry out my skin. hope this helped! =)
Hi there, intelligent colour foundation by the no7 boots brand.has a gorgeous velvety finish, and adjusts to your skin tone.a bit pricey at 12.50,but at the moment they're on buy 2 get third free. Also if you spend five pounds or more in store at the moment you'll recieve a 5.00 off no 7 voucher and 3.00 off hair care!3 shades to choose from and remember to test on your jawline.regards
Prescriptives is great :)
They start by finding out which colour group your skin belongs to - yellow/orange, red/orange, red, blue/red by testing all four kinds (small amounts) on your skin. They they go through the shades in that colour group.
They have foudations for all types, dry, combination, oily etc..
You can even customise your own foundation - They will match your skin tone exactly!! they will mix and mix and mix colours until they get your correct skin tone colour, then you can decide if you want a moisturising foundation, oil-control, heavy cover, natural etc....
It's a bit pricey but definately worth it! It looks great and lasts ages! Worth the money rather than wasting money on lots of not-so-good products!
John Lewis, House of Fraser, Selfridges sell it.
Try it, youll love it!
I have oily skn and use Flawless Skin Foundation - now I don't even need to touch up on powder for the whole of the day! Amazing! It was about 拢30.
Maybelline Pure MAkeup... they should have testers some where in that section but you have to pay like $2.00 for them.

Well if you want to be an athlete...I guess black.
Well I have really pale skin, so naturally I pick up the palest foundation there is. I suggest firstly you decide what colour your skin is, light, medium, or dark etc then match it with the colours, take a picture of yourself and take it with you when you go and buy a foundation, it makes it a lot easier. I use Gosh foundation, and even though it's quite cheap it's fab! It rubs in perfectly and blends with your natural skin colour and hides spots. You can buy this from Superdrug, or I'm sure if you look around you'll find it anywhere else.
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and has a light coverage which you can build up if you want.
It blends with most skin tones adn you can mix two colours to get your ideal shade.
prescriptives, they make your color.
they have this 'liquid powder' (powder but feels wet when you apply it) that is the awesomest stuff. i have oily skin with occas. breakouts, it has actually cleared up my skin. i use it over moisturizer with SPF30.
it is expensive (about $35 for a container) but WELL worth the price.

they have this 'liquid powder' (powder but feels wet when you apply it) that is the awesomest stuff. i have oily skin with occas. breakouts, it has actually cleared up my skin. i use it over moisturizer with SPF30.
it is expensive (about $35 for a container) but WELL worth the price.
Where does it say the colour on the bottle of estee lauder double wear foundation?
On the base - on the gold label.Where does it say the colour on the bottle of estee lauder double wear foundation?
i have exactly the same problem but the thing is most estee lauder foundations don't have a colour..they have a number imprinted on the back of the bottle, like mine is 04 and thats what they go by, so you need to check for the number on the back or base of your bottle, they don't usually have names for the foundations!
hope this answers your Q!
if your still having problems you can take it into debenhams or a makeup store or somewhere you got it from, and the makeup consultant will be able to tell you there and then, so maybe try that next time your out shopping..it would only take a few minutes!
hope this answers ur Q!

Do you use liquid foundation or some other base to even out your skin colour so it has a flawless look?
i use Max factor Flawless Perfection which i do love, but wondered if there was something better about? my friend uses some green stuff prior to foundation. sometimes my skin can be a bit dry around my nose even after cleansing, toning and mosturiser.
am from England so would appreciate english available products. cheers. i have pale skin and freckles which sometimes i love and sometimes hate. am brunette too in case that helps.Do you use liquid foundation or some other base to even out your skin colour so it has a flawless look?
I'll tell you a good tip.. use a base of a tinted moisturising tan, something like 'Dove summer glow'... that'll take a few hours to come out, so maybe do it before you go to bed. but that gives you a wicked base and it's really subtle too, so you won't look orange! But then you can apply your regular foundation and powder and you're skin tone will look great!Do you use liquid foundation or some other base to even out your skin colour so it has a flawless look?
use the mousse foundation, it helps with dry skin
I am in US but i have used green concealor from Estee Lauder and foundation now I use mineral makeup and it is the greatest! There are a number of different kinds out there Loreal which is what i use, bare minerals, everyday minerals and sheer cover! Most are mail order so i think they ship all over the place!
Bare Essentuals is perfect for your skin. All natural so it won't clog pores, light and gives ur skin the look of being absolutely perfect!

i love smashbox its a skin primer you use under your make up it leaves a smooth flawless finish and your foudation glides on its brilliant the best on the market i say worth every penny
i find avon products best they do one that suites you what ever your skin tone and it gives you a real healthy glow check out there website
buy a good concealer, im dark under my eyes, and have red spots under my nose. I use lancome color ID. This kind of foundation evens out your skin tone and blends into it, its heaven sent, and lasts for like 6 months, so its worth the money. I am the palest shade on the market, and it does wonders for me.
If i want to go the cheap route. I Just use a concealer (any brand in ivory) and use a tented moisturizer by neutrogena with a powder over it.
Victoria's Secret cream foundation is great. You would not need any green stuff to cover your flaws. I am not sure whether they carry this in Europe, but a lot of women in US have fallen in love with this product.
microdermabrasion evens skin tone out without makeup and mineral makeup can help without clogging pores. True and Jane Iredale are some ot the best. Microdermabrasion should be available at most spas in England.
I really like Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, great finish
do you guys have remmel in london they say its the london look. also if they have maybaleen there you should try there foundation you cant even tell you have that foundation on. hope i helped
I use mouse foundation like ';Cool Matte Mouse'; Or ';Dream Matte Mouse'; And then put on pressed powder, wich gives you an unshiny, matte finish and looks natural.
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and looks really good!

Is there is a colour difference between (Normal/Dry) and (Combination/Oily) in Revlon Colorstay foundation?
After reviewing many shades in different stores, I seemed to find they had the same named shades but the (normal/dry) shade seemed to look different to the (combination/oily) shade, why is this?
Answers much appreciated (:Is there is a colour difference between (Normal/Dry) and (Combination/Oily) in Revlon Colorstay foundation?
I have really dry skin and I use the normal/dry. Personally, Ive tried both the foundations and for my skin type I prefer the normal/dry. The Normal/dry has more SPF and its more liquidity. The combination/oily has less moisture(oil) but yeah, those are the only difference that I can tell between those two.Is there is a colour difference between (Normal/Dry) and (Combination/Oily) in Revlon Colorstay foundation?
Different stores usually have slightly different lighting. This could be why they appear different.
If you're looking to purchase one, go for the formula that best suits your skin (normal/dry or combo/oily) and try the best color match you can find. Trust me, a foundation that works with your skin that is slightly lighter/darker than your skin tone will look a lot better than an exact color match that makes your skin look like a super dry/super oily mess.
If you're not positive a certain color will work out for you, keep your receipt. Most drugstores are pretty cool about issuing refunds/exchanges on cosmetics if you have a receipt.
Hope this helps!
They are the same. They just look different until you put it on your skin.

L'oreal foundation...What colour,what one???
I use the Loreal face cleansing product and would like to start using the make up,but as there is not a loreal counter with assistants to advise on colours i really don't know what colour foundation to go for and to buy one and find its the wrong colour is very frustrating. I currently use clinique everyday natural foundation but when sampling them on my hand i am still none the wiser, any advice???L'oreal foundation...What colour, what one???
I agree. That true match is wonderful. I had been searching for the ';perfect'; makeup for years and finally came across True Match. And I was able to match up everything on the website. I love the way the makeup feels and looks on my face. U should give it a try. I use all their products.L'oreal foundation...What colour, what one???
Try putting it on your jawline and then going to test it in natural light. Your hand is not the same color as your face so there's no point testing on your hand. Your inner wrist is a bit closer to your face color but not exactly. Are you sure you need foundation? I think usually it looks cakey and horrible on people. Try tinted moisturizer. Stila makes a good one, you can get it on sephora.com. L'Oreal is kinda cheap... go for something more expensive if you must do the foundation thing.
The trick to matching foundation is to do a test on the bottom of your cheek so that you can match the color to your neck. You want to match it to your neck so that you have a steady flow and not a make-up ';mask'; Testing on your hands does absolutely no good since your hands are more exposed to the sun. Also a good rule is to poke your skin on your wrist and when you release it you will notice either a quick flash of a yellow tone or blue. Most people are warm skin toned (yellow) and if that is your case stick with the warm shades of natural. Also if you buy your products at rite aid or longs, keep your receipt. You can return or exchange it if you don't like it.
Good luck
I like Loreal True Match foundation. You can go on their website and it will help you match a shade. Use the matching powder too.

if you're on your own when shopping, try out foundation on the inside of your arm - it should be the same tone as your face
but if you're with a mate, just rub a couple of shades on your face + get them to decide which is the right colour for you
well we cant really help coz we dont no what your skin colour is like but just go try lodsa samples!
When I wanted to pick a foundation, I went into Sephora and became ';interested'; in one of their main lines, the bare minerals. They showed me how to apply it and put some on half of my face. By knowing what shade of foundation I was with that line, it made it much easier to figure it out with other lines. Also, I hear that you shouldn't test the color on your hand, you want to blend it on the side of your cheek near your jaw line.

Concealer and Foundation Colour... MAC.. Help... confuuuuseddd!!?
okay i'm soooooooooooo confused right now...
At first i use to hear that the concealer shud be skin colour or lighter than you actual skin colour... hmm... so i got a ysl concealer number two... this seemed to work okay under my foundation...
then i went to MAC to get a concealer and foundation... the make up lady said that my colour is nc30... when i asked for concealer she goes it has to be darker so she gave me nc42?????
at the time my baby was crying alot so i couldnt really ask her much so im asking here... wat the heck?? im sooooo confused?? i mean thats a massive jump from nc30 to nc42... also why a dark concealer???
any tips and help would be very much appreciated!Concealer and Foundation Colour... MAC.. Help... confuuuuseddd!!?
Your concealer should definitely be a shade lighter as your foundation. I don't know what she was thinking! Dark concealer will only make you look like you have really bad skin pigmentation.

the best way to find a foundation that suits you is to seek professional advice. In most department stores such as Debenams, John Lewis or shops like Boots will have counters where a beautician or make up artist will be in charge. Simply select your brand, one such as Boots No 7, Clinique or Maxfactor (The cheaper brands won't always have counters) and ask the person to advise you. They will then test a few colours on you and advise you on the best choice, these people are professionally trained.
Some brands i would recommend are: Clinique (Probably the best but quite expensive), Boots No. 7 (good value for money), Maxfactor, Loreal, Maybelline, YSL, ect.
Another useful tip is to test the foundation near your jawline, which is supposed to give you the best results. But it is near impossible for any of us to give you an good colour based on a celebrities skin tone, or a picture in general as skin colour in a photo does not match your actual tone.
Good luck! What foundation colour is right for me?
get that fouindation from revlon it twists so you ca change it to suit your skin tone
Yeah, i think that shade will be great though, with your skin tone, i don't think that you should use foundation!
Just a little bit of bronzer or a soft blusher and some good eye make-up and lipstick and you'll be fine!
But, it's obviously your choice so go with the foundation if you want.
As long as you take care of your skin though, you will look just like Nicole without foundation!!!
hope this helps! :D x

What foundation colour would suit me? [picture inlcuded]?
I am 13 years old and am looking for a really good foundation. The only problem is that I don't know what colour is right for my skin tone. Any guesses? I would go to a makeup counter and ask someone to match my skin colour there but I am only 13 years old and I don't know what they would say. Help please!!!
Please have a look at all these pictures.

There's no age limit on buying make up ^-^ They would help you out just fine. Even just holding it up to your arm would give you an accurate color ^-^What foundation colour would suit me? [picture inlcuded]?
I'd say Toast or Golden Caramel And Btw Your Pretty =D
true beige.
i'd like to say, ive tried so many revlon foundations and tbh i was dissappointed in all of them.
they didnt last.
so now im using MAYBELINE NEW YORK dream matte mousse.
and its amazing x
Im not too sure because cameras tend to cause slight colour change in skin tone.
Go into your local beauty store (boots/superdrug/walmart) etc, and go to one of the sales assistants, they'll pick the right shade out for you :)
you have lovely skin so at 13 i really dont think you need foundation (:
however if you really want to wear it, i suggest you do go to a make-up counter and they can help you decide which shade is best for you. theres no age limit to buy make-up so i'm sure they wouldnt say anything about it. if you're really worried, take a friend with you (:
good luck
13yr old's don't need foundation (and you certainly don't) but seeing as you've asked, you go into the shop and put the foundation you think is nearest to your skintone along your jawline, then you look at it in daylight, the colour that shows up the LEAST is the best one for you i.e. the closest to your natural colour. Not something another person can recommend as all brands and names are different.
EDIT A decent make-up counter would not advise you to use foundation, though they can't stop you buying it. They would more likely advise a tinted moisturiser with an SPF.
Warm golden maybe? You really do have lovely skin so maybe just don't bother - you don't have to wear foundation as part of a make-up routine, its just that people do if they need to cover uneven, blotchy patches.
I think a beige would be best. It's hard to tell exactly until you go to the store, and hold it up to your skin. Good Luck! %26lt;3

What Foundation Colour/shade brand?
Im looking for a powder foundation at the moment im using liquid foundation and powder in ivory but its a bit dark what is a ligter colour then that and what brand is it in both powder and liquid please? What Foundation Colour/shade brand?
Physicians Formula organic wear (best in powder)
http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/d鈥?/a>
and for liquid try Loreal cosmeticsWhat Foundation Colour/shade brand?
I'd recommend Revlon Colorstay. It comes in both powder %26amp; liquid but I prefer liquid as is blends better.
As for colour, no-one can tell you tell that. You need to put a bit on under the cheekbone, near he jawline %26amp; see if the colour ';blends'; in ur skin. That is if it matches ur skin colour, if not, is the wrong colour.
You can even put 2-3 colours on together to get a feel of the colours.
I use the body shop powder foundation, it's very good.
i am quite pale but i have freckles i use number 2 but they also have number 1.
I also have the liquid one from the body shop it is also very good. It is called 'Moisture Foundation SPF 15.
It depedns on wether it suits your skin, you need to look in a mirror and then hold the foundation beside your face and if it blends in, you have your perfect faoundation
Nude. If your looking for simple. Ivory is a bit dark. Light brown. This all depends on what type of skin color you have. I'm Caucasian so i use lighter colors. Lol.
im also pale and from uk
i use dreammatte mousse
and you should use nude xbacteria

try going to pharmacys and get one of the workers there to help you. if you don't usually work with make-up, it's hard to tell which one is best for you sometimes. try clinique, i love their stuff! but before you buy, ask someone at the counter to help you find the color. they can test it on you and you can see which one you like best, and which one they think they like best as well. What foundation colour would suit me? [picture included]?
You don't need foundation. You have great skin. You could go to the makeup counter or if you want Cover Girl or something maybe try the pure-blend or just go to the store and look for the shade that matches the closest.
If you wanted to cover up your skin or to get your foundation go to perscriptives (there in macys makeup center.)
try true match by loreal. its in walmart and drugstores. i know people who use it and swear by it. it has 24 shades altogether to match your true complexion.

Why isit that foundation changes colour over time?! ?
Ive brought a clinique foundation and its just the perfect colour, but over time this gradually changes colour! Its like a really disgusting burnt orange colour, and i always leave it closed, and i never put it near sunlight! Please somebody help meee!!!! xxxx : )Why isit that foundation changes colour over time?! ?
yes, like other make-ups they do change colors, it only means you need to throw them.. foundations can only last 3-6 months..Why isit that foundation changes colour over time?! ?
how long have you had it? makeup only lasts about a year, max. the pigments begin to separate eventually.
then you should buy a new one, regardless of how you keep it or if you've used it all or not
I suggest mousse foundation or mineral (dream matte is very good),
the pigment in liquid foundation tends to go shorter than other types, It's probably the climate.
Foundation changes color over time because the pigments just get old.
I hope I helped! [:

i looked up mineral makeup on ebay, and i found a good, inexpensive natural mineral makeup set that feels really good on my skin and is non-comedogenic. it's got zinc in it which is especially good for the face. it was like $20 or something for 2 shades of foundation, a little thing of blemish powder, powder blush, mineral veil (goes on at the end and blends it all really naturally), they also have this shimmer powder for wherever you wanna use it. it's really nice. oh! also it came with a small brush for application of the blemish and spots powder, and a larger brush for foudation. oh, hah andi almost forgot.. also it came with this little free bottle of pore reducer spray, and it was all natural.. i still have the bottle somewhere, cause the ingredients are all listed on it and i was thinking about making my own cause it worked so well.
if you go to ebay.com and look for ';tru minerals'; and you'll find your shade and the set that you want. seriously recommend this stuff!! it's GOOD for your skin which is the best part. quit using that s***y mass produced make up.
here's the site:

you will appreciate it!! i promise. and it's lasted me quite a while too. it's worth the money.

I am a darkskin black girl and was wondering what brand of makeup cover up/foundation and colour should i use?
my skin tone is similar to gabrielle union's..I am a darkskin black girl and was wondering what brand of makeup cover up/foundation and colour should i use?
It depends what sort of coverage you want.
Thick Coverage.
Loreal Infallible Foundation.
Dior Sculpt Foundation.
Thin Coverage.
Chanel Teint Innocence.
Normal Coverage.
Maybelline Matte Mousse.
For Dry Skins use moisturizing foundations - even tinted moisturizer.
For Oily Skins use matte foundations - but be careful in your choice as some can be blotchy.
Go to your local ';boots'; or ';superdrug'; and try out the foundation testers on your hand or on your jaw line to see what shade of colour you should use.
If your into the more expensive stuff such as Dior or Clinique then go to your local shop, i believe Chanel do little foundation testers.
GoodLuck!I am a darkskin black girl and was wondering what brand of makeup cover up/foundation and colour should i use?
im a 17 year old with dark skin and if you want to invest in a precise shade, go to myer and ask them to find out for you. they will try different colours on you until they find one that matches you perfectly, and they'll also teach you how to apply it. if you are too shy for that, try these:
loreal true match in cocoa,
any of maybelline's foundations in caramel
:)
M.A.C is good, but probably not the best for exact match for black skin..i use M.A.C but i have to mix colors just to get the right shade. I think im gonna try prescriptives next, because they have custom blends..maybe u should try that..
My best mate is a black and she used urban decay.. Its actually really good foundation.. costs about 16 pounds but its worth it.. covers everything and makes skin look flawless.. even i have ended up buying it ( in a pale version though )
My friend uses Valana minerals and she looks fabulous wearing it! They specialize in mineral makeup for women of color. Here's the link http://www.valanaminerals.com/

Please help....foundation colour question!!!?
Hi, I usually use Maybelleine's makeup because it's the only brand that I'm 100% sure I know my right colour. With Maybelleine, I'm honey beige.
I want to get a new foundation though, like Revlon Colourstay or L'Oreal Tru Match (which is better?).
Can you guys tell what would be my colour in Revlon and L'Oreal? I really need help...thankss a lot everybody!!Please help....foundation colour question!!!?
I've never tried Revlon or Maybelleine but I do use L'Oreal and I LOVE it because its actually the only foundation that even HAS my shade (every other foundation turns my face orange) I can't tell you which shade will be best but I CAN tell you that most drugstores (Like CVS where I live) have this shade matcher card thing by the foundation, Its a translucent card that as all the shades on it and you just hold it up to your skin and see which one matches your skin perfectly enough that it ';disappears'; into it. That's how I found my shade. Best part is that even though my skin started to get a bit darker as I got older (started using it about 5 or 6 years ago) and I had to switch up to a darker shade, I could still use same shade with out it being all that noticeable before I got the darker kind because of how the shade will adjust to your skin. So basically even if you get the wrong shade it won't be some horrible tragedy and your skin won't turn orange or anything so it won't hurt at all to experiment. at worst you skin will just be a little darker or a little lighter then it is with out foundation on.Please help....foundation colour question!!!?
The best thing to do is just take the foundation you have now, go to the store. Find one in Revlon or L'Oreal that is similar. Test it out. You're the only one that needs to be satisfied with it and that's the only way to know.
in target they usually have a color match sheet for loreal. you place it above your wrist and whichever one disappears is the one that is your shade.
they usually have similar names in revlon or loreal you might be honey oatmeal or something like thatbacteria

What colour MAC foundation?
Hey guys, I have dark brown hair, blue eyes and fairly pale skin. I wanna start using MAC foundations but dont know which colour to choose.
I dont have any MAC stores or counters near me so I cant go in for samples or to try it out but I was thinking, from their website, that 15 or 20 be about right....also whats the difference between the NC's and NW's?
Thanks for any answers :)What colour MAC foundation?
NC is totally good.
NC 20-30 is what i would suggest for fairly pale skin. MAC is spectacular.
are u sure there isnt a dillards or macys around u that has one. i JUST found out there was a mAC in macys 5 miles next to and ive been living here for 2 years and nvr knew!!
go to MAC's website and search for stores nxt to you.!!
What colour MAC foundation?
Sorry to say, but you have to actually try the foundations. Trying to find the correct color based on what you see on your screen is not wise because you could possibly buy a tone too pale for your skin or too dark. you could potentially look like Casper or as if you have a tanning addiction. I am a makeup artist and I realize how important finding the correct foundation is because you want something that will blend seamlessly with your skin tone. If there are no Mac stores in the area, try sephora or any department store, or another brand. I love smashbox HD makeup, MakeupForever HD Makeup, and Bare Essentials. Just make sure you try the makeup on before you buy it and make sure you check how the foundation looks on you in natural light too.
haha yes! listen to the person above me. but the difference between NC and NW are the tones. NC is for cool skin tones, while NW is for the warmer skin tones.

Does anyone know of a foundation similar to Maxfactor Colour adapt 55 Blushing Beige, that is...?

xxxxxDoes anyone know of a foundation similar to Maxfactor Colour adapt 55 Blushing Beige, that is...?
Hey, i use the maxfactor blushing beige too but I have been testing and trying new ones lately because i find it doesn't help my dry skin but i usually end up resorting bk to it. You should be able to find Maxfactor makeup in all the Boots stores, although its 拢11.95 there, but if you go to the shop, 'cosmetique' then you will get it for 拢7.99. Also superdrug stores have Maxfactor. If you go to http://www.ciao.co.uk/Face_Make_up_53022鈥?/a> you can get a full list of reviews of different foundations, but also it will let you compare prices of makeup, an gives you links were you can buy Maxfactor (and other) makeup online for cheaper.
If it is a different brand you are looking, L'oreal True Match has a wide range of shades, I went for Ivory which was slightly lighter than Maxfactor's blushing beige, but it gives good coverage and hided all my imperfections and spots and feels so light on. It can be quite drying though.
Also Revlon Coverstay gives really good coverage and you can get one for dry skin, or one for oily/combination skin. They don't have a wide range of shades, but I think Buff would be the most similar to the blushing beige but you may want to test if first on the jaw line.
Good Luck, hope you find one you like! :) xx

Foundation colour help...?
Hey.. I have been using a really good foundation called ';moisture mist';. I have been using the shade ';natural orche';. But whenever i use it, i have to put some around my neck so itll match properly. It is the second lightest colour in the range, so I tried the ';ivory';, but it was too pink. I tried a different foundation, the lightest ';yellow'; based, ';nude';, but it is still a bit too dark and I cant find a yellow based foundation light enough for me! Any suggestions? I would say try and mix your shades! It may work out for you.
Otherwise, I would go to a makeup counter and ask them to help them determine what your skin tone and undertones are and what possible matches would work best for you.

Both clog pores . You are better off using Clinique Perfectly Real Foundation or Prescriptives Traceless Foundation.
If you have sensitive skin , it's better to use the higher end product cause they have more skin caring ingredients
If on a budget , Just try Bourjois . The prices are similar to drugstore and the texture is comparable to more expensive brands.MAC studio fix VS. revlon colour stay foundation?? plzz HELP!!?

my skin colour looks like hers..
is it the right colour??
thanks :)Maybelline mousse foundation colour help??
Maybelline tests on animals. Is it really worth it?Maybelline mousse foundation colour help??
im guessing thats about right yeh!
You should always test the colour on your neck, if it looks natual on your neck, then it will be the correct colour for your face!
This is because its slightly paler than your face so it will make everything a even colour!
Alot of people say to test it on the back on your hand.. and you can use this as a rough guide.. but held the back of ur hand up to you cheeks, do they look the same colour to you?
lol :)
If the foundation matches the skin on the back of your hand you have the right color.
It looks quite nice, but maybe use the next one up of the lighter shade, im not sure which one this is. I use nude due to my skin being quite pale.

When choosing a foundation, should it be lighter or darker or the same colour as the concealer?
General Rule:
- Concealer 1 shade lighter than your skin
- Foundation same shade as your skin.
Always test the colours in natural light ie sunlight. When choosing a foundation, should it be lighter or darker or the same colour as the concealer?
The concealer should definitely be lighter than your foundation! A great website to check out makeup is www://www.lthompson25.qhealthbeauty.com you can type ';makeup'; in the search box. They have great products and everything has a 180 day guarantee!!! So you can return it within 180 days if you dont like it, but you will! :)When choosing a foundation, should it be lighter or darker or the same colour as the concealer?
You shouldn't choose your foundation around your concealer. Your foundation should be the same color as your skin and look like you don't have anything on. The concealer should be a little lighter than your foundation.
Don't pick your foundation color around your concealer, but your actual skin. It should match your skin. Concealer is lighter than your skin color so it will brighten up dark circles.
